A great day at the Cotswold Super Sprint Triathlon and some stiff competition in my Age-Group.

Swim went well official time for the 400m was 6:25 but that including a run to T1 an according to my Garmin my time in the water was actually 5:30. I was first out of the water in my category.

T1 was amazing and followed by a long but fast 400m run to the bike mount point.

The bike was fast although I was overtaken by Andrew Shipton so was now down to 2nd place before the long run back to T2. Official bike time was 29:45 for just short of 20km but again that included the run to and from the transition area. Actual average speed on the bike was 24.1 mph.

T2 was a bit of a mess as the cold conditions had frozen my fingers so I couldn't unclip my helmet. I then struggled to get my shoes on as well, but was soon of onto the run.

The run went well and I caught and overtook Andrew Shipton to regain first place with a run time of 16:48 so crossed the line 1st in a total time of 54:20.

1st in Age-Group (but only by 5 seconds) and 6th overall... Not bad.
